1-inch sensor + advanced low-light performance
Mission 1 features a 1.0-type sensor that is larger than sensors found in most mobile phones and some compact cameras. The use of this larger sensor results in better low-light performance with less noise than the smaller sensors—making it ideal for capturing cinematic footage in all conditions including dusk, indoor and night shots.

Next generation GP3 processor
With 2x the power of the previous GP2 chip, the revolutionary GP3 SoC (system on chip) delivers higher resolutions at high frame rates for smoother motion and slow-motion playback. It also powers dual AI engines that run advanced denoising algorithms for amazing lowlight capture.

8K video
8K video delivers breathtaking image quality with 300% more resolution than 4K. You can also grab stunning photos up to 33MP from 16:9 8K videos using the GoPro Quik app.

Rugged + waterproof to 20m
The Mission 1 is ready to go anywhere the story takes you - from windy, dusty backroads to underwater adventures all the way down to 20m (66ft) with no protective housing needed. It’s designed to take a beating and still deliver the highest quality footage whether you’re ripping through snow, mud or other extreme conditions.

Mounting flexibility
It features 3 versatile mounting options. Built-in mounting fingers securely attach your camera to GoPro mounts for durable mounting in rough conditions, while 1/4-20 mounting threads can be used with tripods and other standard camera accessories. Magnetic Latch Mount6 compatibility makes it fast and easy to swap your camera from one mounting setup to another.

Longer runtimes
The 2150mAh Enduro 2 battery gives you longer runtimes than any other GoPro battery in all conditions. You’ll get over 3 hours of continuous 4K30 recording and over 5 hours of 1080p30 recording on a single charge while improved heat management helps prevent thermal shutdown. It’s also capable of rapid charging so there’s less downtime and more production time. You can also use Enduro for HERO13 Black batteries as spares.

Up to 8x slo-mo
Mission 1 can capture 1080p video at an incredible 240 frames per second that lets you slow down the action down to 8x slow motion to capture details that can’t be seen with the naked eye. For higherresolution video, try 4K120 video for playback in 4x slow-mo.

4K zoom
Zoom in to 2x to get the shot while maintaining the quality and precision of 4K video resolution. Or get even closer to the action without repositioning yourself or your gear with 4x digital zoom.

HyperSmooth video stabilisation
Emmy award-winning HyperSmooth video stabilisation continues to set the bar—giving you cinema-smooth movement, no matter the terrain. New AI-tuned capture modes provide optimal stabilization for action and underwater footage while AutoBoost dynamically ensures that you’re getting the widest stabilized footage.

Built-in 360° Horizon Lock
Mission 1’s Linear lens with Horizon Lock automatically gives your footage a steady, straight, smooth horizon, even if your camera rotates a full 360° during capture. Combined with HyperSmooth video stabilization, Horizon Lock delivers the super-smooth polished look of a high-end production.

HLG HDR video
Mission 1 lets you enhance its best-in-class image quality with Hybrid Log Gamma (HLG), a standard HDR format that captures video in the 10-bit and Rec. 2100 colour space for playback with compatible displays and media players.

10-bit colour + Log encoding
Choose between standard video at 10-bit or Log encoding at 10-bit with GP-Log2. Capable of displaying over 1 billion colours, 10-bit colour delivers enhanced colour depth, smoother gradations and more realism in your videos. You also have the option of GP-Log2 to retain more details in highlights and shadows while making necessary image corrections in post-production.

112°-156° Field of View
Mission 1 expands your creative range with a field of view ranging from 112° to an expansive 156° to capture more of the scene in every shot and help immerse the audience in your story. Choose from the linear, wide or SuperView digital lenses for sweeping landscape shots, everyday scenes or POV action footage.

50MP photos + 33MP frame grabs
Mission 1 takes up to 50MP photos in Single, Interval and Burst modes while giving you the option to let AI automatically adjust settings for night and low-light shots.

Night effects
It features 3 Night Effects modes that let you get creative after dark. Star Trails uses the Earth’s rotation and stars to capture beautiful light trails across the night sky. Light Painting lets you create brilliant brush stroke effects with moving light. Vehicle Light Trails uses night-time traffic to record stunning light trail shots.

4-microphone array + audio tuning
The camera uses 4 microphones for improved stereo recording and wind noise reduction while Audio Tuning lets you adjust sound recording to better fit what you’re capturing. Choose balanced, trueto- life sound that’s great for most shots or the Voice setting that enhances vocal clarity while also preserving ambient background sounds.
You can record 32-bit float audio to a separate .wav file for more post-production flexibility and extended dynamic range that virtually eliminates digital clipping.

Multi-track recording + manual audio controls
MISSION 1’s native multi-track recording capabilities seamlessly integrate the audio from all connected devices to streamline editing. With professional-grade audio controls such as Automatic Gain Control (AGC), manual Gain and Limiting, you can fine-tune recording levels to ensure clean, consistent audio in any environment.

USB-C audio support
Simply plug an external USB-C microphone into Mission 1’s USB-C port for an easy plug-and-play way to add a separate mic to your gear setup. You can also use a USB-C adapter to connect a 3.5mm microphone or plug in a headphone for audio playback.

Edit with the GoPro Quik app
The GoPro Quik app is loaded with tools that let you edit the automatic highlight videos created by the app or make your own. You also have the flexibility to change digital lenses after recording, plus add filters, effects, transitions and more.
